Charles Henry Hill was born in 1870 

in Dulwich England.
 

The 1881 British Census shows Charles Henry Hill at age 9 years living on
Cumberland Road, Earley in what was then the county of Berkshire.
 

It's interesting to note that Charles Henry's father, also named Charles, was 

a butcher.  His wife, Elizabeth Jane, came from a long line of ancestors who were butchers.

He married Elizabeth Jane Hollyer

on August 16, 1897 in Scole, Norfolk, England.

Immigration to Canada

 

 Charles, Elizabeth, Reg, Dorothy and
Charles Jr. moved to Canada in September of 1908
where they first came to Montreal and then to
Toronto in 1911.
