It's interesting to see their age difference.
William Jacobi in a very fine suit.  It was only as I was
zooming in on the photo that I was able to really see the quality.  It's good
enough to actually comment about it.

William and Elizabeth Jane Jacobi's son
Albert William Jacobi was born
on March 17, 1881
Why the picture was taken in Brampton is
 a question for the moment.
  1881 Census
  1891 Census

I was absolutely thrilled when I discovered this photo
of Eliza knitting.  How perfect!
Working with the Red cross, she knit 265 pairs of socks for the troops
during World War I.

This is the Knox Presbyterian Church in Oshawa which is
referenced in the newspaper obituary.
I don't have any old photographs of 20 Colborne Street in Oshawa
but with a bit of imagination one look at this present day
photo and visualize what it might have looked like.
Among all the family photos and keepsakes I came across
this bookmark from Beaton's in Oshawa.  It was with the packet of
things marked, "Eliza Jane Jacobi."
I wonder if they still have the same phone number?
