St. Mary's School in Oshawa apparently was often called
Colborne St. School which was, of course, the street
the Jacobis lived on.  This would have been the school
Albert attended as a child.

Mr. Leslie Mann who was practically part of the family and
lived with them.  He was known by everyone as 'Pop'.

This picture of Albert is one I find remarkably emotional.  I look through this
page and see his life scroll down in a matter of seconds and wonder
how he felt about all his life had been.  There's a real sadness in his eyes in this
picture.  His life is coming to a close, his wife of so many years is
gone and he's quite dependent on his daughter Irene for his
day-to-day care.   That's not any implication against Irene but rather
I'm just thinking of how difficult for him to have been a strong man and here
so weakened by age and infirmity.  They do say that old age ain't for sissies.

I remember that cigar....he always had one going.

Woodwork

Albert was interested in a number of things.   He often worked on
restoring old cars.  He also did some lovely woodworking.

This photo shows a dollhouse made by "Papa" Jacobi for
his granddaughters Alberta and Jean Hill.  It was treasured by the
girls and still remembered with great fondness.
Jean is the little girl peeking over the door and Alberta
is busy playing 'pretend'.

He also made this spring jumper and it was
around for decades. Here Katie Cawfield (Boivin)
is bouncing in it in 1975
And then there's the wonderful carriage he made
for his daughters as seen in this fantastic photo
